Custom filter areas

The platform supports company-owned (private) geographic filter area presets. By default, filter presets are global and visible to all users. By assigning an owner to a filter group, it becomes a private preset visible only to users belonging to that company.

Visibility rules

  • No owner (blank) → the filter group is visible to all users (public/global preset)
  • Owner set to a company → the filter group is visible only to that company's users and superadmins

Configuring company-owned filter areas

  1. Log in to Django Admin
  2. Navigate to Geo Data > Filter Groups
  3. Find or create the filter group you want to make company-owned
  4. Set the Owner field to the target company. Leave it blank to keep the preset public/global.
  5. Add Filter Items (shapes) to the group as usual
  6. Save the changes

WARNING

After adding or modifying filter groups, you must run the preset indexing operation to keep map filters in sync. See Adding and updating geo filter presets for instructions.
