Notification Settings

Manages company notification settings — mailing lists, notification groups, and alert configuration for emissions and data exports.

Permissions

Permission	Description
notificationsView	Required to access the page. Without this, the settings link won't appear.
notificationsEdit	Required to make changes. Without this, editing actions are disabled.

Mailing Lists

Mailing lists are external email addresses that can receive notifications. These are separate from platform user accounts — useful for distribution lists, shared inboxes, etc.

Adding a channel

1. Click Add in the Mailing Lists section.
2. Enter the email address.
3. Click Save.

A verification email is sent to the address. The channel stays inactive until the recipient clicks the confirmation link.

Email verification

New email channels show as inactive (red X) until verified. If the verification email was lost or expired, click the resend button (paper airplane icon) next to the channel.

Deleting a channel

Click the delete button (trash icon) to remove a channel. This also removes it from any notification groups it belongs to.

Notification Groups

Groups combine people (platform users) and mailing list channels into a named recipient list. Emission and export alert settings reference groups rather than individual addresses.

Creating a group

1. Click Add in the Notification Groups section.
2. Enter a name.
3. Select people and/or channels.
4. Click Save.

At least one person or one channel must be selected.

Editing and deleting groups

• Click the pencil icon to edit a group's name, people, or channels.
• Click the trash icon to delete a group.

Deleting a group that is assigned to an alert setting will clear that setting's recipient.

Notification Delivery Modes

Emission alerts support up to three delivery modes depending on the category:

All (individual)

Each emission triggers a separate notification immediately when it is created or accepted. The email contains event-specific details — location, data provider, and a link to the event on the dashboard.

Digest (batch)

Emissions are grouped into a single summary notification sent after a data batch finishes processing. The digest contains:

• Data provider name
• Date range of detections
• Total number of detections

Digests are triggered when emission matching completes — not on a fixed schedule. If a batch processes 50 emissions, one digest email is sent with the aggregate count.

Digests respect user geofences: users in the same notification group may receive different detection counts based on their geofence configuration.

None

No notifications are sent. Emissions are still ingested and visible on the platform.

Emission Alerts

Configures notifications for three categories of emission data.

Company Monitoring (Self-Reported)

Notifications for emissions from your company's own monitoring operations.

The provider toggles control which providers trigger alerts. Unchecking a provider excludes its emissions from notifications — the data is still imported, just no alerts are sent. Only providers enabled for the company appear in the list.

EPA Super Emitter Program (Paused)

The EPA Super Emitter Program is currently paused.

Notifications for emissions flagged under the EPA Super Emitter Program.

Data Export Alerts

Notifications when a user generates a CSV export of emission data.

Setting	Description
Toggle	Enable or disable export notifications.
Notification group	Which group is notified when an export is generated.

Useful for compliance teams or managers who need to track when emission data is being exported.
